The Sutherland House is conveniently located in Brodhead, Wisconsin in beautiful Green County just three blocks from the Sugar River State Bike Trail at the corner of 6th Street and East 2nd Avenue.

History

This marvelous home was built in 1912 by Mr. and Mrs. Grau.  The home was bought in 1940 by Dr. Melvin Stuessy and his wife, Helen.  The Stuessys did extensive remodeling during 1958-1960.  Additions were made to the living room, kitchen and master bedroom.  The third owners are your hosts, Nancy and Gary Sutherland.

Downtown Brodhead is just four blocks from The Sutherland House.  Also nearby, within walking are:  a convenience store, several area lounges, restaurants, craft and antique stores, gift shops, hardware, furniture, pharmacy, and art gallery.

Sutherland House is at the corner of 6th Street and East 2nd Avenue.  Brodhead, Wisconsin is located on State Highway 11; fourteen miles east of Monroe, 20 miles southwest of Janesville, 40 minutes straight south of Madison, and 45 minutes northwest of Rockford, Illinois.
